| Name: | Ariadne - The Architect |
|---|---|
| Birthdate: | May 14 |
Name's Ariadne, I'm an Architect. I kind of like to fuck with physics, when I can get away with it.
Building a dream is like a layer cake, only inverted, because the top tier has to be the biggest and most believable, because it's the lightest layer of sleep, where people are most likely to wake up. From there they can get smaller and more fantastical, because the more deeply asleep the subject is, the less likely they are to notice that something doesn't quite make sense.
Arthur calls it Paradox, which works, but I prefer Quagmire, because once you're there, you're pretty much stuck until it decides to let you go. 'You' in this case, being the subject, and 'it' in this case being me, the Architect.
I don't have what you'd call a photographic memory, I can't keep track of names and dates, but while I might not remember who you are or where we met, I could easily recreate the weather, the color of the sky, the feel of the ground, the sound of the kids playing in the distance. I guess the right phrase would be 'full-range textural memory', but topographical sounds better.
Dark!Verse
This is Ariadne without so much of a moral compass, an Ariadne who enjoys building traps instead of mazes, not just for the projections, but for the subject as well, whether it's a mark or one of her co-workers for a practice run.
Daemon!Verse
Roughly the same as usual, only with a modern-ish His Dark Materials take, namely, Ariadne's got a Daemon, a white ferret named Escher
Not mine, just for fun, no slander, libel, or disrespect meant. Ariadne is from about two and a half years after the events of the movie, she's gotten her degree and has a little workshop in Paris where she mostly freelances, because it's pretty easy for an Architect to find jobs in their line of work.
A few other random facts about her past:
* She was born and raised in Brooklyn, she was in Paris on a scholarship
* Her mother is a retired cop, Central Park district, and her father's deceased.
* She does actually know how to use a gun, her mom got her a Firestar 9mm for her sweet sixteen.
* She still builds pillowforts.
Mun, muse and PB are all over 18
